The Classic Country TV Journal (journal.classiccountrytv.com) is operated by Classic Country TV. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit the Journal, sign up for our newsletter, leave a comment, or click through our links. It also covers The Outlaw Circle signup page at outlawcircle.classiccountrytv.com.

Our shop, memberships, and The Vault are separate. Purchases, supporter memberships, and the members library at classiccountrytv.com are run through Fourthwall and are governed by the privacy policy on that site.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

Newsletter. If you subscribe to The Outlaw Circle, we collect your email address and any other details you choose to give on the signup form. We use it to deliver your free copy of The Outlaw Archive, send new stories and updates, and share offers from Classic Country TV. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Comments. If you leave a comment on an article, we collect your name, email address, IP address, and the content of your comment. Email addresses submitted with comments are not displayed publicly and are not used for marketing.

Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Journal, information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, the site that referred you, approximate location, and time spent on pages. This is used to run the site, understand our audience, measure and serve advertising, and keep the site secure.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Journal uses cookies and similar technologies from the following:

  • WordPress.com and Jetpack (Automattic) — site functionality, comments, sharing, and Jetpack Stats visitor statistics.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — measure which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from.
  • Google AdSense — serves and measures the ads shown on the Journal. See “Advertising” below.
  • Kit — powers our newsletter forms and The Outlaw Circle signup page. That page may also use Google Analytics and the Pinterest tag to measure signups and ad performance.
  • YouTube — when you play an embedded video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data about your viewing.
  • Amazon affiliate cookies — when you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may set a cookie to track the referral.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, and browser privacy tools can block trackers. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.

The Journal displays ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.   • Keep the site secure and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. Our advertising and analytics partners may collect information through cookies as described above; under some state privacy laws this can be treated as “sharing” or “sale.” You can opt out through the choices in Sections 3 and 8.

The Outlaw Circle newsletter is sent through Kit (kit.com). When you subscribe, your email address and any details you provide are stored with Kit on our behalf. People who join Classic Country TV as members or supporters through our shop may also be added to our Kit list. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time at michael@classiccountrytv.com.

Classic Country TV is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. When you click an affiliate link on this site and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate links appear in our product recommendation sections. Our editorial content is not influenced by affiliate relationships — we only recommend products we believe are genuinely relevant to our readers.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data
  • Opt out — opt out of personalized advertising and of the “sale” or “sharing” of your information (see Section 3)
  • Unsubscribe — leave our email list at any time using the link in any email
  • Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you are in one of these regions, we process your information based on your consent (for example, newsletter signups) and our legitimate interests (for example, running and securing the site). You may also object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority.

Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Comment data is kept as long as the comment remains published. Analytics and advertising data are kept according to the retention settings of Google and the other services listed above.

10. Security and International Processing

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no website or email service can guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Journal is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at michael@classiccountrytv.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
